So! I have been experimenting with different editing software's I can get online and boy has it been a rough journey. I know it will take time for improvement so I'm trying to not be too harsh on myself when it comes to editing. these two videos took me a good 5 hours to edit which is frustrating  as they haven't come out as planned but at least I understand the software a little more which will make it less of a stress when it comes to editing my short film.

I thought I would give myself some directions to ensure I don't miss out anything.

After my group call yesterday with the cast members they asked if a worded script with lines could be made as structure and clear directions would make it easier for them to achieve what I have planed for the short film. This does have conflict with my original plan to have a rather unscripted and improvised filming process. I do understand my cast has comfort in a structured approach so I was more than happy to write up a short script.  

To get things on the move I held a group meeting about the short film and how we are going to make it possible. we've organised a time and discussed who will do what prop/mask. High spirits so far!

Here is my fake Wikipedia write up, this has been written before the filming to allow me to paint a clearer picture of what I am aiming to produce and how I want viewers to react to the short film. I am aware that this might not be the case of the final outcome but this is what I will b working towards.

My tiktock "short film" was taken down either late last night or early this morning as the platform deems it as violating the community guidelines. I've sent an appeal as I believe this to be false and unfair, they will be reviewing it.

It might seem like a little thing but having this flimsy piece of paper which says filming is actually important to me as having a place where my family will not disturb or distract me is really vital to  getting my work done. 

my aim of making this short film or if we are really going to call it what it is- a tiktok video "film" again there was reason for this, one: a way in which I can explain what I plan to create to my fellow cast members for the future film, two: to help myself understand what the structure will be and how I can improve on it, three: to see just how much tiktok really has to offer when it comes to creating on the platform- I found it to be easy to use as I'm accustomed to its features however I think it's time I start exploring avenues that are a little more technical.

Here i'm talking in third person as this character is going to be myself, I thought I would get to know myself a little. as I get ready to start filming I express many parts of ones life, opinions and memories that are only small but important to me. I have made the video only segments of the tangents I explore due to two reasons, one being that the audio kept cutting out and the other because tiktok only allows your videos to be 60 seconds or shorter which is a bit of a downer- youtube is of course an option for the future when considering platforms to display my work.
